§ 65.002 Definitions

In this chapter:

"Child" means a person who is 12 years of age or older and younger than 19 years of age.

"Juvenile court" means a court designated under Section 51.04 to exercise jurisdiction over proceedings under Title 3.

"Qualified telephone interpreter" means a telephone service that employs licensed court interpreters, as defined by Section 157.001, Government Code.

"Truancy court" means a court designated under Section 65.004 to exercise jurisdiction over cases involving allegations of truant conduct.
